MILCW - Mildenhall Coarseware

Orange surfaces, dark grey to black core, medium sandy (clear, brown) with sparse calcareous inclusions. Similar to Ely coarseware.

A few sherds were collected during the Fenland Survey (unpublished) and the assemblage was thought to contain wasters (but there is nothing very convincing in the samples), suggesting a production site near Mildenhall. Previously MILW.
